I had a similar theory once, until I remembered the Smashing Pumpkins song Tonight, Tonight. Superb, under-rated rock band that enjoys night-time. Nothing wrong there.

We Are Young, Tonight is the Night, and that one song that goes "Tonight, tonight, there's a party on the rooftop on top of the world" is all I can think of.
