my grandmother does this all the time and it is extremely awkward. One time we were having dinner at this restaurant and the server brings us our check and says 'come back to see us some time' you know how servers do that. and my grandma says 'well, i dont know if i'll be alive for that day!' expect she was serious. The only thing the server had in reply was "oh, well. Good luck with that." yeah, yeah, i know: OMG, cool story bro.
