CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

They were shown to be able to capture rice cakes in one episode. I don't know if that answers your question.

Pokéballs are programmed to not work on humans. An example would be in the anime series where multiple times a ball has been thrown, missed, deflected and so on and landed on a human, the ball starts the catching process and the human gets a red glow but then stops leaving the human unharmed.

That would be cool. You can capture your crush, and then throw him/her back out so you can say "[NAME] I CHOOSE YOU!"

You're fantasies are disturbing......But funny.

I have a vague memory of where Ash is floating around inside a pokeball with pikachu and sees a pair of socks. I'm not sure if this is an episode, or my weird ass childhood imagination, but it's pretty funny.

pokeball not humaball ! ;D

MISTY/MAY/DAWN, I choose you to get in my balls!

That would hurt.

Doesn't work on humans. I think it was Ash, once threw one at Jesse or James because he thought they were a pokemon in the bushes, but it just hit them in the face.

They actually did in one episode. This gengar was throwing around these black balls that captured Team Rocket and four archaeologists. This episode is called: The Ancient Puzzle Of Poké-mopolis
