+110 Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, and their sons in combat, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And brothers.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Men can lose their daughters, wives, and mothers to war, too..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And sisters, aunts, friends.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And their Fathers, Sons, and, if their into that sort of thing, husbands

Thank you, Obama, for repealing DADT.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What about the men who DIE!!??!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Pfft, everybody knows they're the secondary victims.

Death is hardest on the living. The dead no longer feel anything, but the survivors are left behind with the memories of those lost.

And men don't lose their fathers, sons, etc in combat?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually women can serve in combat too. The girl who was enlisting on the same day that I did was an 89D EOD. That's bomb disposal. /cool story

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But they can't fight on the front lines, talk about equality

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They don't want them to become POW. Plus, enemies might attack and rape them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's such a stupid rule. Men can get raped too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

89D is in the front lines. It's not all just clipping wires, they have to secure a perimeter first in enemy territory (which means firing at the enemy). They're typically called in after a patrol (infantry, military police, etc) find a suspicious looking object or car in A-stan. Also military police is open to women, they see just as much combat as infantry.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Totally. Somebody who died fighting for their country and/or what they believe in is totally second to the woman safe at home when it comes to being victims of war. ono

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Meaning that men don't have possible fathers, sons, and brothers that they could have lost in war too?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This is a Hillary Clinton quote.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

what about men that were drafted back in the day and still suffer from PTSD?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

or the men are the victims because they can lose family members too AND they're the ones that actually DIE

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What about men whose wives, sisters, or daughters go into the military?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah thats worse than losing your life....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well how about WOMEN be forced to be drafted into the military- then we can make hoity-toity quotes like this.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What about the soldiers that have to watch their best friend die and not be able to do anything about it? They have to deal with the death just as much as the wife, kids, and siblings do. They had to whitness the event and they will remember it until they die... Maybe I'm wrong but I think that is worse than hearing your husband/dad/brother died fighting for their country.

At first I read this as "Wombats" not "women". It was gonna be a good post.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh Women, always victimizing yourselves. Yeah, sitting safely at home, thousands of miles from danger, free from all conscription and fighting duty, being "oppressed." It's just a pussy pass, that's all.
