I've always noticed this. The clasp is too small dangit.

"Here, I got this necklace just for you. Let me put it on.....Oh, the clasp isn't closing, one sec, damn this thing is hard, wait I think I almost got it in! Damn,the clasp just broke." -That's probably what would happen in real life. And it would be long and awkward.
