I read somewhere that a 'plus sized model' is an American size 6 or above. How is that plus sized?!

I know! I was looking at a plus size magazine today (it belonged to a family member) and all the models were much thinner than me and I'm not plus size (I'm a size 8 or 10, sometimes a 6). The fuck?
