If its gross it's not just water. There must be pollutants in it so you should try not to drink it.

A lot of water tastes gross to me. In my opinion, water with fluoride (or is it just fluorine? I can't remember) in it makes it taste better. I remember the flavor of the water in New York when I used to live there and supposedly they put fluoride/fluorine/whatever in the water. It tasted good. I don't like anything that doesn't have flavor, though, so I just tend to mix water with some flavor packet and drink up.

Distilled water is just disgusting to me.

I think it's different wherever you live. Because my cousins who live in California said that the water where I live (Nebraska) tastes almost sweet compared to what they have.
