+290 When you think about it, you've never heard of someone getting divorced in Harry Potter. Maybe they take "till death us part" a little more seriously and use an Unbreakable Vow, amirite?

The only married couple you ever really meet is Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, so that doesn't really count. We know that Snape's parents had a bad relationship, and Tom Riddle Sr. left Merope Gaunt after she stopped giving him love potion... but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen, necessarily.

The Potters? The Grangers? The Diggorys? The Longbottoms? The Malfoys? The Lestranges?

...oops. Although Malfoys and Lestranges almost don't count - they were arranged. And obviously the Potters and the Longbottoms never divorced... :/ Almost positive the Grangers didn't, but the Diggorys definitely have probable cause, with Cedric and all...

Didn't Dean Thomas's dad leave his mom? Because I remember in the seventh book he was on the run because he wasn't sure whether he was muggleborn or half-blood.

His dad left her during the first war because he was a wizard and he didn't want to put his family in danger. He was killed by Death Eaters and none of them ever knew he was a wizard.

Really? I didn't know that. But I guess that's not really divorce then, if he left to protect them.

You've never heard of anyone in Harry Potter eat yogurt either, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
