Generally speaking yes. I actually saw a purple one once though. Except for it old and broken down and kept at a ski hill and used for stowing tubes for sliding down the hill.

when I was in pre-k and kindergarten I rode in a short yellow bus but it was mainly because there wasn't a whole lot of people to pick up and then we moved and I got a real bus.

I've never seen or been on one. I feel like my life is inadequate. The buses I ride on are usually green, but sometimes white.

The K-8 school I attended had yellow school buses, although it was very close to my house so I just walked. When I entered high school I took public transit, so I've never been in a yellow school bus ever.
