I Like rise against and some of their songs say other things. Like 'make it stop'? Ever heard that one?? It's about stopping bullying. Maybe you should listen to the lyrics and other songs before you judge.

I'd rather listen to a cat meowing while it scratches a chalkboard... But to answer your question, no. I'm not a big Rise Against fan. They do have a few songs protesting corporate greed, don't they? I know Rage sing a lot of anti-corporate America songs. Yet they still sign contracts with the people they seem to be against. That just feels a bit hypocritical to me. It's like preaching about the how bad the devil is and then going home and letting fuck you all night.

Rise Against's music is about treating people right, helping one another, not conforming to societal standards, and freedom. They don't just rag on people who make money- they write about corruption in society, which, in reality, often centers around money. However, having money does not necessarily make one corrupt.

I dont know the first two bands, but Rise Against, i actually google their meanings and views. You have no idea how deep their songs are, and how deep they are. I agree with thebushbaby, they talk about greed and mistreatment in society. Against animals and people. Just because they make money, that makes them hypocrites? Just because they sign with heard of labels, that means they support corporate greed? people these days... And yeah, im listening to rise against right now

Amen watsa. Mydick, there has got to be a reason you dont like them. Their are millions of hypocrites in the world who are famous, yet you complain to a band who after they started writing a song about the worlds problems, and realized how messed up it is, all of them turned vegan. What inspired to write a post about them?
