How's that... what? How does this analogy work for anything outside of fire? Why would you try to stop love? And how would you go about doing so? And you might get hurt, but I'm pretty sure there won't be any burn marks on you....

If you don't stop it, then it'll burn down your entire goddamn house. And the whole street. Then everyone's pissed at you because you're the jackass that didn't pour water on the burning paper on the floor. Then you have to file a claim with the insurance agency which will get denied because they find it was your fault since you "didn't want to get burned". Then you become homeless, live on the streets, and die at age 27.
