Because smart people judge celebrities on their actual talent, not their looks. That is why there are so many negative opinions about Justin Bieber in general.

That's critiquing the celebrities on individual skill sets. I'm referring to the blind judgement everyone passes on people with higher quality of life. Someone will say "Justin bieber is a terrible singer and he has a vagina" and its an opinion that most will agree with but someone "whole heartedly believes as an opinion that Adele is a terrible singer and that she is grossly overweight" and they get attacked for it. It's a double standard

That's the thing...she's not a terrible singer. And the Justin Bieber thing is also untrue but again, most people pass judgments and agree on judgments based on the person's actual skills and talents, even if those judgments somehow expand to their body image. It's the person's talent that stands for them and everything they are.

That's because insulting a woman's weight is a big no-no in modern society. Which, by the way, is incredibly annoying because it's perfectly acceptable to mock a man's weight and it's also perfectly acceptable to mock other aspects of a person's appearance, such as their height or hair.

Saying Adele is a good singer is an opinion, not a fact, and I don't think Justin Beiber is an awful singer, either. I'm not a fan of his, but to be honest, I don't really like Adele's voice. It's not that it's awful-sounding. To me, it sounds like she uses a technique that could be damaging and grating to her vocal chords. That quality bothers me. If people want to bash Beiber unnecessarily for being a girl which is not true, they should be able to say they think Adele is overweight or that they don't like her voice. Definite double standard.

i think it's odd that people believe that the level of talent someone has determines the dignity and worth of that person. "we can mock bieber because he isn't talented, but we can't mock adele because she is." they're both human beings.

I'm going to sound really dumb right now, but I don't think Justin Bieber is actually a terrible singer. I don't think he's the best, or anywhere near it, but he does actually seem to have some talent. I think it's dumb that he tries to act and dress gangsta but it's his life so whatever. I hate his fans, who are constantly saying stupid stuff about how he is the most talented musician alive and all that bullshit, and honestly, I think that they, more than anything, have been the biggest contributing factor to his fame/infamy. Adele is very talented and her weight has nothing to do with that. Adele became famous because of her talent and not because of a legion of fans who adore her simply because they think "she's smexiiiii as hellllll guize" (aka "beliebers"). So that, suffice it to say, means I guess that I think making fun of Justin Bieber is usually just trying to get a rise out of those annoying ass Beliebers but making fun of Adele is pretty pointless because she doesn't really have that kind of a following. I don't think that hating on celebs in any case is a good idea, but at least with Bieber, I can sort of see where they're coming from.

Do people really bash Beiber to annoy Beliebers? I thought they did it because it's the popular thing to do right now. I don't think you can ever justify bashing a celebrity, unless you keep it confined to their voice, acting dancing, etc. Saying he is a talentlesss girl is stupid, in my opinion.

I think it was originally to annoy the Beliebers, but I would say you're right about why people do it now. And I agree, I believe it is wrong to make fun of a celebrity for anything other than what they're famous for.

I never thought it was to annoy Beliebers. I always thought it was just what happens with celebrities. All celebrities have followers and people who hate them because they're either jealous or they legitimately hate their talent. I've never heard of any regular non-troll person thats commenting just to troll about bieber. And he's a talented singer. His voice is just where people disagree.
