+182 Goths don't have to be satanists; "goth" means finding beauty in darkness, not finding beauty in Satan. Amirite?

Gothic Cathedrals were built to let lots of light in. They just look dark and spooky because movies usually only ever show them at night time. Just saying... it's weird that the term Gothic would even be associated with cathedrals who try to let in as much light as possible.

Indeed, and they let the most light in possible to awe people who walk in with the power of God and his beauty.

Actually, the word "gothic" back in those days was a broad term like "gay" today, it just meant that something was weird or bad. It was kind of a slang term the Romans used because of the Goth tribes. It was a new type of architecture that many people saw as ugly, and that's where the name came from. /snorts and adjusts glasses Youseeit'sreallyallquitesimplesnortsnort.
