+284 The Hunger Games should be rated R to keep it as close to the book as possible, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They've already messed it up beyond repair

If they rate it R, it will make little money and there will be no sequel.

They aren't going to make a lot of money anyway. They casted it horribly and the sets are awful

Are you kidding me? Jennifer Lawrence was a terrific actor I think they did amazing and made very little mistakes

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If they rate it R alot of kids who love the books couldnt see it because they're "to young"

It was a YA book, most of the fans are teenagers, so it should be around PG-13 to keep with it's orginal target audience.

it has 2 b rated r! u cant keep the original componets f the book making it pg-13! B.S.!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It can stick to the book as PG-13 they just can't show as much blood

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I just thought it was supposed to be slightly gory and there is supposed to be some nudity in it. It would be sad to see it be rated "R" because I wouldn't be able to see it, but I would still prefer the accuracy.

It won't be R I looked it up, Gary Ross said it means to much to some teenagers so it will be PG-13

On a side note, did you hear the rumor that there might be a prequel made? How would you feel about that?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That would rock

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I feel like it wouldn't be true to the series unless Suzanne Collins writes the entire prequel.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That could be true. Was she going to write it or some writer?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't know. Right now it's just a rumor.

I think in the Hunger Games there wasn't as much nudity actually. I mean Peeta was stripped to his underwear, but she refused to take those off... Other than that no one was really walking around naked. And I don't think Katniss witnessed all that many deaths.

ive seen other pg-13 rated movies that still had more violence and blood then T Hunger Games. They made it more pg then pg-13,and if it was rated R it would have been as close as possible to the book althought the nude scenes are not a major part of the story other parts they cut out are, like pretty much the majority of every fight scene in the movie it was just shakey camera shots from difrent angles and not actually seeing when someone gets stabbed or shot with an arrow. Also the casting sucked they turned it into one of those movies where they hire "good looking" actors to atract a bigger crowd. I really want to see how they are gonna make Catching fire and Mockingjay PG like they did tto the hunger games it didnt even deserve the pg-13 rating it got and the other two books have alot more violence in them
