-115 You're more inclined to donate to a charity if you get something in return (e.g. a badge, wristband...), amirite?

Understood. How about: You like getting things when you donate to charities, amirite? I feel selfish...

if you do it to get something in return then it's not a donation, it's a purchase.

I hate to admit it but it's true. :(

yep, it always cheers me up to know that all my money is well spent on curing cancer or ending starvation in africa

i'm more inclined to buy something i already would have if some or all of the money is for charity, but most of the time i would rather just give the money and not get the stuff.

I do like getting charity stickers and wristbands, especially if I can wear them or put them somewhere other people will see, maybe causing them to decide to donate too, but really I only donate to charities I support, i.e. animal charities, and I'll donate to them whether I get anything in return or not.
