It's so sad how automatic the responses of McDonald's cashiers are. You can just ask for some fries, and they will still ask you "Would you like fries with that?", amirite?

You're right, but, in their defense, I used to work as a cashier in a fast food restaurant, and working 9 hours a day, 6 days a week, saying pretty much the same phrases over and over and over ... you get kinda neurotic.

yeah i work at a fast food place and even after people order a brownie or a milkshake i ask if they want a dessert. it's just a habit
