we survive on some many other foods why do we need to kill seals? they dont even eat them, they skin them and leave them on the ice.

Actually the earth isn't round, therefore "the earth is round" isn't a fact. Your whole comment was based on the idea that the earth was round. You also called people morons for believing that the earth isn't round. If your comment said the earth is an ellipsoid then your point would have been valid. yeah it's pretty fucked, especially the way they kill them with clubs and shit, but if you think about it, it's not much different from killing a baby cow and I don't know how humanely they kill baby cows either. It's just the cute factor that makes everyone so upset. I am not condoning it, I'm just saying there is a bit of a double standard or something going on here. Plus it's the aboriginal canadians who do this and it has been their way of life for thousands of years, most canadians don't agree with it but we have infringed on their rights quite enough in the past so it's hard for the government to tell them not to do it.

hey baby cows are just as cute!!! and they do kill cows humainly by just hitting them between the eyes and the cows dont feel a thing but the way they treat them before they kill them is certainly wrong but they were born and raised to be killed and eaten they wouldnt even be alive if it was for the fact that we eat the. i think its just the brutality of clubbing the seals that makes it so bad and these are wild seals with families that rely on them to get food and they werent born to be killed and they dont even eat the seals they just skin them

I don't like the killing of wild animals that are endangered. Not sure if seals are, probably not, but at least shoot an eat them instead of clubbing them. And eat them, don't leave them on the ice. There are tons more things to eat in Canada.

most canadians oppose the seal slaughter, and those who murder infant seals do it to profit off of the fur. it isnt for food. we have as much food as any other country.

Well, if it's killing for fur or sport inhumanely, seal killing is awful. However, many Inuit hunt seals for food, due to overpopulation (they are not endangered) and they use every last piece and don't waste a thing. So it all depends.
