Someone of Native-American descent should run for president, if just for the sake of irony, amirite?

For some reason, I read that as "if just for the sake of ivory"

How is it ironic?

Someone didn't take History...

Fragments_sissy does have a point. Having a Native-American president would be no more ironic than having a black president or a white president or a rainbow colored president.

Whites stole the land from the Native Americans, so having a Native American President would be ironic, considering he/she would be in charge of the land that once rightfully belonged to them.

The president isn't technically in charge of the land, exactly. The president is actually in charge of very little because congress has the ability to veto anything the president wants to do, as well as veto the president's veto on a bill. The president is merely a puppet, while congress pulls the strings.

LMAO, I wasn't attempting to make a point, I was actually ASKING a question. How would it be ironic?? haha, but thank you for giving me the benefit of doubt and believing that I was trying to make a point :P

And you expect a Native American to be Republican? Because in 2012 they can't run for Democratic and independent or other is useless since the 19th century. Furthermore, Native Americans don't tend to carry the views of Republicans and Republicans wouldn't vote someone who is not white.
So yeah, in other words, good luck with your campaign.

Scenario 1: Obama dies/drops out.
Scenario 2: they run in the 2016 election.

The fact that this is categorized under "Alcohol" makes this post even better.
