+347 Pixar shouldn't make a Toy Story 4, it would ruin the meaning of Toy Story 3, amirite?

I think they should have just stopped at the second Toy Story.

Exactly! Toy Story 3 was too depressing

Wow, really? Just because it's depressing? Movies are a visual art form made originally to make you feel emotions. What the hell do you want? A big happy-go-lucky nothing-is-wrong-with-the-world movie? Those are shitty and dull, and there's plenty of them out there. Being depressed is not bad, contrary to popular belief. Feeling sad isn't bad, feeling angry isn't bad. Sometimes it's okay. And in situations like movies, it's definitely okay. And if the movie makes you cry, instead of cursing its name, you should be silently congratulating the makers of the movie because they have created the movie in such a way that it has dug itself into your mind and made you feel something. And when a movie doesn't do that, it's shit. It's complete shit. It has failed as a movie. It's dull, boring, and shouldn't exist. Toy Story 3 was exemplary. It has moved a large audience onto a river of tears, or just the verge of it. And in the end, it was still a happy ending (even if it was bitter-sweet). And to not appreciate a movie because it made you feel upset in-universe like it's //supposed// to do? That's detestable. And I don't care if it's a kids movie. That doesn't mean it has to be shit.

Woah. That is seriously the longest comment I've ever seen. You think I don't realize that the first two movies are depressing too? The biggest reason why I thought it was depressing is because the original Toy Story is very sentimental to me, because when I was a kid it was my favorite movie. I watched it multiple times a day everyday and my parents told me that I cried every time Buzz broke his arm. I just think it was sad for me personally because I'm growing up like Andy I'm not ready to leave my childhood behind yet. And also the fact that Andy's relationship with his Toys comes to an end is sad to me

Then the movie's doing what it intended to do. That's not a bad thing to feel those things. It may have ended one story, but it began another.

I guess you're right. I didn't mean for it to sound like I thought that the movie wasn't good, I just kinda meant that I didn't like how it made me cry so much

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You may not like the crying, but that doesn't mean you have to dislike the movie.

Meh, I only wouldn't want them to because my family would pull me to the theatre to see it.

And there shouldn't have been a Madagascar 3. The second one gave the impression that this was where the story would end.

Someone told me the 4th was going to be about Zorg. I don't know if that's right or not, but it's seems enough off-topic of how the 3rd ended to not ruin it.

Did anyone see the Smosh video about stupid sequels? I thought the next Toy Story was one of them.
