+414 J K Rowling should write a prequel of Harry Potter for when James and Lily were at Hogwarts, amirite?

NO. People need to get it through their heads that Harry Potter is OVER.

I don't get why this comment is so downvoted; it was a good series and all, but just because it was good doesn't mean that's all J.K. Rowling should write about. Personally, I would much rather have her write some other good books, completely unrelated to HP/.

I am an absolutely huge fan of HP and, as much as I love it, reading a prequel wouldn't be right for me. Harry Potter has been a big part of my life since I was very young, and a prequel would completely ruin the excitement of there being seven books and the sadness of the end. I'm not saying that Harry Potter is 'OVER' but to add to the series would kind of shatter its memory.

Then she would be seriously selling out. Leave it as it is I reckon.

I think it would definitely be interesting, but it would be overkill.

I agree that people should shut the fuck up and accept that it's over. If she makes more then people will compare it to the first 7 books and deem it crap because of their over exaggerated claims at how amazing the series was.

I almost kind of feeling like her writing a book/series about the Marauders-era would be interesting, but sort of pointless. I mean, we'd all know how it was going to turn out eventually. I would be slightly more interested in a next-gen book/series(about the children featured in the last book's epilogue), but...I don't know, it would probably be wonderful, but I'm satisfied with what we have.

Not a full book, but perhaps a little book full of flashbacks. You know, important scenes and whatnot. That would be nice.

I've had ideas about it. Maybe is a fan-fiction author was actually a good writer and made it interesting enough, she could endorse it.

Well, this isn't by J.K. Rowling, but it's about James and Lily at Hogwarts... http://figment.com/books/19613-Those-Green-Eyes
