+372 You don't know how the creators of animal documentaries manage to watch the animals starve to death or drown without stepping in to help, amirite?

They did a documentary on the camera people of animal documentaries, and this one guy was crying behind the camera while watching some poor antelope get ripped to shreds alive :'(

That's exactly what I would be doing. Bawling my eyes out. They'd have to put the camera on a tripod so it wouldn't be shaking.

You can't interfere, it's the Prime Directive. y /Star trek reference

Of course if the animal were getting abused by a person it would be wrong for the person not to help. Otherwise, it's all part of life and for us to intervene every time an animal suffers would be against nature. Survival of the fittest. When weaker animals die off, stronger ones go on to reproduce strong offspring. If you don't realize that before you start filming then you probably shouldn't have signed up for that job.

But its still REALLY FUCKIN SAD

Even if I totally agree with what you said, whould you find it normal to let, for example, a human die of cancer because people without cancer would reproduce and then reduce the percentage of people with cancer?

If they stepped in during a chase between a lion and antelope, and the antelope got away, the lion would probably die of starvation. So if you step in your hurting something else... Kinda sucks how it happens that way...
