Cool! I never knew that. Basically, it's just a silly tradition where you kiss someone you love/your significant other/etc at midnight. A couple years ago my friend felt bad for me and my forever-alone-ness and she kissed me on the cheek xD

I had someone to kiss but he wasn't with me...so yes I felt alone. No one else at the party kissed either so it was okay.
