+427 After everything you need to do (going to the washroom, sleeping, eating, etc) is added up you only have about one-fifth of your life to live. It really puts you into perspective of why you shouldn't be on the internet, but you're still going to screw around on the here anyway. amirite?

I doubt it is only one fifth. I spend about 1/5 of my day sleeping. And 1/5 eating and such. I think a majority of my day is free for me to use as I please.

About 20 years of your life is spent sleeping, 10 years at work, 5 at school, 3 years on the toilet bathroom, a couple in the shower, 7 months in traffic, 12 years watching TV, 19 days finding the remote, all of your appointments add up too, but there are different numbers for every person. Right there is over 50 years of your life (for the average person). There's obviously much more, but you get the point. I know you don't need to watch TV, but I included that in here anyway...

wait, 5 years at school?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think that was the number. I think they included university in there lol.

Good point. I was going off of the idea that we spend 4/5 of our time doing things we need to do. Watching tv and going to school aren't needed for survival.

I should have worded it better, sorry.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't be sorry. It is really no big deal.

I would say that more than 20 years of your life is spent sleeping. If on average you spend 8 hours a night sleeping then that it about 27 years sleeping which is about a third of your life sleeping.
