Benedict Cumberbatch is a much better Sherlock than Robert Downey Jr, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's hard to compare them, though, because the Sherlock written for the Sherlock Holmes movies is also completely unlikes that of the miniseries.

Yes, but that being said, the mini-series are also loads better than the movies.

Is the series back yet? I really enjoyed it, but it's been almost two years.

Yes. The last episode of series 2 aired last Sunday.

I think they're both incredibly talented in their own, very different ways and have interpretations of the character that are unique yet consistent. It's hard to say.
However, if I have to choose I'd say I like Cumberbatch's Sherlock better. It might be the cheekbones, though.

If I was blind and deaf, i would agree with you.

Not really a fair comparison since the whole point of the BBC series was to put the Holmes stories in a new era and the movies are in the original settings.
