One thing that really pisses me off about this site, and in real life as well, is when people try to make other people feel stupid about/put down their beliefs regarding god or the afterlife. I'm pretty much against all religion, and I don't really believe in the concepts of heaven or hell that I've been taught, but I don't go around looking down my nose at people who feel differently. To me it's just as far out there to believe in heaven as it is to believe in oblivion, what the fuck makes a belief in one so much better than the other? The only criticism I have is against people who never take time to really question their beliefs from time to time, that includes both atheists and the religious alike.

I don't see how that was freaking out? A little bit annoyed, maybe. I really don't think this post is a joke, it's true. Just look at the comment below you. Nobody actually KNOWS what happens, we just have ideas. People just like to state their opinions as facts and I find it irritating. :/

So you are against gnostic theists and atheist (meaning that they are sure what the think is true)? I personally am an agnostic atheist. I'm not an anti-theist, but when I see the bible being used as an excuse to repress people, I start to feel like one.

Actually I myself am an atheist. I just don't like it when people think that they know for a fact (not what they believe) what happens after death, when the only way to really know for certain is to die.
