+164 Darth Vader never said the words "Luke, I am your father." The dialogue actually went -"Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father." -"he told me enough; he told me you killed him!" -"no, I am your father." And yet, very few people actually remember it that way. It's funny how people's minds work. amirite?

It is also funny how many people read Cracked.

Oh, I love Cracked, but I caught this way before the article came out. I actually noticed it back in seventh grade when I broke my arm and spent an entire day watching Star Wars movies, but seeing the article recently reminded me.

Finally! It's aggravating to hear it misquoted.

It pisses me off so much. My teacher said it the other day and I tried to correct her but it went completely over her head. I love her and all but OH MY GOD SHE IS A WICKED DITZ.

It's an iconic film and it is considered a travesty against human nature to have never seen Star Wars. Being such, it seems as though some people who are trying to 'fit in' end up misquoting it because that line is surprisingly well-accepted by the general populous and no one is the wiser.

Ah, I couldn't agree more. And as for that last part, I never really thought if it that way. It totally makes sense, though!

I'm glad I am not the only one who cares about this.
