It would be a tragedy if McDonalds closed or went bankrupt. amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Perhaps for the economy, but imagine the effect its disappearance would have on obesity rates.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It would do nothing to change obesity rates at all.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Absolutely nothing? Whatsoever?
Why not?
by Anonymous12 years ago
McDonald's eaters would shift to Wendy's or Burger King.

Good point.

McDonalds isn't the sole reason for obesity. The food we buy in stores that is already prepackaged and prepared is also terrible for you. Not to mention the lack of exercise from children sitting on their computers and video games for hours on end and adults sitting in an office from 9 to 5.

I never said it was the only reason, but you can't dent that fast food is major contributing factor.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's a contributing factor, but I don't think the obesity rates would drop at all without McDonalds. How often do obese people eat there anyways? They can't possibly be there everyday.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Only because I love their breakfast...nothing else.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Bankrupt? I don't see that ever happening anytime in the future!
by Anonymous12 years ago
I wouldn't go so far as "tragedy", but it'd definitely be a horrible reflection of the economy if a chain as massive as McDonald's went bankrupt.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I would only miss the frappes and possibly their breakfast.. but I'm never up early enough to eat it so I guess it doesn't matter
by Anonymous12 years ago
I would say McDonalds is too big to fail....
Get it?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm only agreeing because it would mean that the economy was more fucked up than we thought it was.
