I can understand if your life sucks and the good old days are what you cling to, but beyond that, no.

Whose to say when my childhood ends? Whose to determine when, exactly, one grows into adulthood? The age at which a person mentally becomes an adult is different for everybody, but even if it were a constant age for everyone, why should somebody let go of their entire childhood? Adults probably shouldn't spend all their time acting like children, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with reminiscing about your childhood.

Auuuggghh, *who's. Wow. That's embarrassing.
I'm gonna go curl up in my sock drawer and cry now.

The events of your childhood are a major part of what shape you into the person you become. You're gonna develop //some// sort of emotional attachment to them.
