+273 It's strange how risk-takers who succeed are admired and risk-takers who fail are scorned when the only difference between the two is luck, amirite?

Saying the only difference is luck is completely oversimplifying things. While luck is a factor, success also depends on choosing the right risk, preparing, working hard, having the right skills, etc.

It's incredibly misleading to say luck is the only or even the major factor in risktaking.

It depends on the risk. For example, I'd say skydivers that failed are mourned more than scorned.
