yeah, and Katniss is probably named so because of the late 15th century Dutch bow-and-arrow called the Catne-Niss! Suzanne Collins probably chose this bow because of her Dutch origins and how revolutionary for the Dutch militia this bow was.

Actually she said somewhere that its supposed to sound like "Peter" which means rock and Katniss compares him to her rock. And then she just made it into a bread pun.
