Prom is never what you expect it to be, amirite?

Because society builds up prom to the point where it's supposed to be the pinnacle of your time in high school. How ridiculous is that? My ex-girlfriend literally said that prom was supposed to be the second most important day in her life right behind her wedding. I'm gonna go out on a limb there and THAT IS NOT HEALTHY!

Proms and weddings always end up going wrong or not being as spectacular as you expect. With prom it's always "OMG MY DRESS DOESN'T IT RIGHTTHE LIMO TOOK A WRONG TURN AND WE WE'RE LATE AND MY COURSAGE GOT TRAMPLED!" And when it's a wedding it's "MY DRESS ISN'T IN THE PHOTOGRAPHER IS LATE AN THE FLOWERS ARE THE WRONG COLOR!"

Sorry for the typos.

Prom really isn't worth the money. I went junior and senior year and it wasn't that spectacular. I guess it's probably pretty decent at schools with a lot of money, but otherwise, it's just not that great.

I just went because my boyfriend asked me to go. Otherwise I wouldn't take the time. It's nothing special, it's not like anyone dances or anything- everyone mainly sits around in the corner chatting or something. But if you're school has ROTC, the military balls are pretty damn epic, fancy and FREE.

My junior prom was yesterday. It was fun, but all the people with dates freaked/grinded, which is not cool.
