If people actually took YOLO seriously, they wouldn't preface it with something really stupid. E.g. "About to snort some crack! YOLO!" It would be more like "Friends wanted to go out, but it's getting dark outside and I can't see well while I'm driving...

I think if it's for the sake of a bucket list it's ok to say YOLO no matter what it is.
