Atheists say, "Agnostics are Atheists without balls." But I say, agnostics have balls, amirite?
by Anonymous11 years ago
agnostics have the balls to say "you're both crazy! nobody knows whats out there. calm down"
by Anonymous13 years ago
So true.
by Anonymous13 years ago
agnostics are just people who always wanna be right so they don't pick a side
by Anonymous13 years ago
Atheists probably don't even know what agnostic means so they think they are wanna be atheists.
by Anonymous13 years ago
that doesnt make sense
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yes it does, you just didn't read it right.

I think agnostics are confused. It's like they WANT to believe something, but it doesn't seem logical. My friend is agnostic. She doesn't believe in God, but wants to think something's out there.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Then you're friend is not agnostic.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Agnostics think that no side has proof of anything.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Actually agnostics either believe in one god (represented by all religions) or in no god at all......but also that they can't prove either side. And agnostics are definitely more respected by people (Im christian) and I certainly have more respect for agnostics than atheists. If you're not going to agree with me the least you could do is not create an entire new religion (as much as you may try to deny it atheism is by definition a religion....just a godless one) Agnostics at least acknowledge the idea
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, that's agnostic theism and agnostic atheism.
by Anonymous11 years ago
look up the definition of Agnostic, the believe that no side has proof of anything, so, therefor, it's kind of in the middle.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Agnostics have the biggest balls I say, becuase they are strong enough to not know for sure what happens after death and be ok with it
by Anonymous13 years ago
Thank you.
by Anonymous13 years ago
If the agnostics were male, they'd definitely have balls...at least physically

You guys keep using the word "agnostics" but unless you use it properly, it doesn't have much meaning.
Agnostics aren't some group in the middle. In the context of religious beliefs, the word "agnostic" has to be added in front of either "atheist" or "theist" which shows some level of uncertainty. For example, I'm an agnostic atheist. I don't believe there is a god and believe that it's extremely unlikely gods exist. But given the fact that human knowledge is limited and there's no evidence to show that the existence of gods is impossible, I understand that I can't know for sure. A gnostic atheist on the other hand, believes gods do not exist with absolute certainty. The same applies to the terms "agnostic theist" and "gnostic theist".
I want to add that my uncertainty about the existence of gods can be likened to my uncertainty about the existence of the Easter Bunny. Despite my agnostic status, I'm not too open to the idea of gods.

I wish more people understood that. I sometimes get a lot of references to Carl Sagan's quote regarding atheists and agnostics. Makes me want to punch them in the face for their lack of understanding
But I digress. Thank you for providing the correct explanation.

I've been wondering where I fit in when it comes to this. I say atheist because I don't believe that gods exist, but I acknowledge the fact that I don't know because neither side can be proven.
That being said, I enjoy talking to my friends about religion. I respect their beliefs because I can't tell anyone they are wrong. They respect me as well. I find this incredible because people tend to just judge without listening or wanting to accept that someone believes differently.
I apologize. That went off topic, I think.
