Wait, do you seriously spell "having" and "owing" like that? I guess it's your preference...

"Haveing" good spelling is better than "haveing" poor spelling.

Well, no. When the government owes money, it's not a good thing, but it's better than not having no money at all. It means the government at least has money to stimulate the economy so we can get out of a recession rather than slowing down the economy by not spending money at all.

Isn't that kinda obvious?

This is kind of like saying -1 < 0 ...

Thanks CPT. Obvious

This sounds like a 3rd grade math problem. If Jimmy has $0 and Stacey owes $300 in back taxes, who is less likely to hang themselves tomorrow morning?
Or maybe that's just my school.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oh we've all had that in 3rd grade, and we know the "gotcha" :
Stacey actually has something to sell that Jimmy hasn't.

It kinda depends how much money you'd have and how much you'd owe. If you had $2000, and owed someone $5, then obviously that would be better than having no money. But if you had like $100 and owed someone $90 or something, then having no money would kinda be better...

How exactly is having $10 worse than having nothing?
by Anonymous12 years ago
(Your+name+(optional)): Because it's not really enough to do much with... And if you started off with $100 and ended up with $10, it'd probably feel more disappointing than if you'd had nothing to begin with.
