+280 It's an odd feelings when you realize that your friends are starting to grow up or at least get involved with some more grown-up things (having sex, drinking, getting a job), amirite?

Only if they do it before you start to do those things.

It's a lot weirder when they're getting married and having kids.

Really hit the nail on the head. Too many comments here sound like they are written by 15 year olds, teenagers can't be so far behind that it actually matters in the grand scheme of things- no matter what it feels like at the time.

It only feels odd if you're doing those things at too young of an age. Otherwise it just feels natural.

Think you've missed the point. It's when you AREN'T doing those things and they are that's the problem. And it's a hell of a lot MORE of a problem if they are actually doing it as old, or older even than most of society.

I think you just read my mind.

I think it's even weirder when the kids that are younger than you that you still remember them being like 5, and that's still how you see them, start doing those things. And you're just thinking "I used to babysit you when you were young and innocent" and it makes you feel really old.

Have you ever like looked around your classroom and seen all the people you've grown up with and realized that they're nearly adults now? It's so weird. I've had pretty much the same circle of close friends since I was 11 or 12 and it's weird seeing my female friends wear revealing clothes or my guy friends begin to surpass me in height.
