I'll write in Ron Paul if I have to. Call it a wasted vote, but it's stupid that people let the news media brainwash them into thinking there are only two candidates worth voting for.

I'm British so my opinion is almost as irrelevant as my non-existant vote on this matter. But, personally I hope people give Obama another 4 years. I really think he has a lot of good ideas for the States and America doesn't need another reactionary Republican president yet. Although I do hear that Romney is actually quite moderate in his actual views, and much of his current rhetoric is for the benefit of grassroots republicans.

I'll poanaly vote for Obama but to say I can't stand Romney is a little ridiculous. I think he's a nice smart guy and he has some ideas I agree with. I just happen to agree with obama more. Doesn't mean I hate Romney

ever been to the DMV? when I went there to get my license, I waited in line for 5 HOURS because the same guy who was taking our photos was trying to grade all the permit tests.... BY HAND. NOBODY grades things by hand anymore because better ways have been invented. Businesses constantly have to innovate and invent things to remain competitive. Hand grading things is the way of the 1800's. but a government-run business like the DMV doesnt have to innovate because they can't go out of business because the government will just bail them out. you really want universal health care?! it is going to become like the DMV!!! doctors will not have to innovate to stay in business, so they will be using some ancient 1800's medicine because they dont have to spend money on actually good supplies to stay in business. They will have NOOO incentive to discover cutting-edge technology that their competitors dont have... BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO COMPETITORS! america is the only country I know that people actually COME TO to get treatment... and that is because we have all the cool inventions. people from canada come here to have operations. we dont go there... coincidence?

Right, so Canadian medical innovations happen because...? And bottom line: Sure, you've got to wait a couple hrs in the ER for a broken arm, but if you need help for anything life threatening it's there. And I would take that ANY DAY over the stress of having to pay for expensive cancer treatments. When your sick, you should concentrate on getting well, not selling your house or spending retirement funds. And if I'm not mistaken, we still have private practices. They compete for research but are subsidized by the government so the patients pay nothing and there is still incentive.

Between 1997 and 2006, the median wait time between a referral from a primary-care doctor for treatment by a specialist increased from 9 weeks to more than 18 weeks. A study entitled Waiting Your Turn: Hospital Waiting Lists in Canada, conducted by the Vancouver-based Fraser Institute, reports that Canadian health care patients must wait, on average, 17.7 weeks for admission to a hospital.
