+303 It kinda sucks when you finish a book that just had to end the saddest way possible so you just sit there staring off into the distance all depressed. amirite?

I absolutely hated that book. I didn't understand it and could hardly keep track of the separate stories.

Oh, it made a a lot of sense to me. In terms of symbolism and stuff, I mean--that just hit me over the head. I hated it because the message I got from it was that cruel acts are a part of human nature and will never be stopped. Also, the only good things in life are not on the same scale as the terrible things (in other words, a nice, sunny day =/= an incendiary bombing attack that killed 100k-+ people). ...Just my opinion, anyway.

I really liked it, partly because of the satirical style (I'm a sucker for satire) and partly because of the symbolism and meaning. The different stories are a bit confusing, but looking back on it, I didn't feel confused at all. Billy Pilgrim was just trying to cope with humanity

Tuesdays With Morrie made me sob, you knew it was going to be sad the whole time but it was still tragic. Especially since it was a true story.
