+151 When someone from your country references a national stereotype, it's fine and maybe even a little patriotic; when someone from another country references the same stereotype, they're an ignorant xenophobe, amirite?

They live in the country, and can have an informed view. A foreigner would not have experienced what it really is like to live in your country, and whatever they say can be assumed to be what they actually think.
