I'm pretty sure this is how it is for an ex boyfriend of mine. He acts in this ridiculously stereotypical gay fashion but he says he thinks gay people are wrong and gross /:

I think society is a big part, but in his case I think it was also his upbringing at home. His mom smoked tweek.

No it hasn't. Not being able to accept your sexuality isn't something that has just began to exist, people have been doing it for centuries. Yes, it's sad that some people don't like homosexuality, but society on the whole is more accepting of it now than it has been for an incredibly long time.
