Once I was really, terribly sick with a cold. The kind where you just feel horrible. So I went to the nurse. I didn't have a fever, so I sat there for the rest of the period. Then she told me to go to my next class. So I wondered around the building for a while before a kind administrator let me use his phone to call home.

I just realized that I never had a school nurse, and also never figured out what they did with sick/injured kids? Throw them out the window maybe?

Call their parents then sit them down in a chair in the front office to wait perhaps? At least that is how it goes at my school, or just go to the office, call home,then go back to class until a parent comes to pick you up.
