Maybe it would be if the economy was the main focus, rather than a healthcare bill that no one wanted.

There were tons of people who wanted it, and just so you know, healthcare plays heavily into the economy, and the economy was a large part of the focus.

The economy goes through natural fluctuations, and with better economic policy it should definitely have turned around by now. This was the worst recession since the Great Depression, and it should have been alleviated by lower tax rates. Instead we got a giant stimulus package which didn't work and added to the federal deficit.
