+79 British friends: it's not right that the largest collection of original Shakespearian writings and other associated works is located in Washington DC, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

<---An American who agrees. That's almost like you blokes housing our Liberty Bell, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Right! haha, but in fact, interestingly, the Liberty Bell was made in the UK

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That is very interesting, indeed. :)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah...probably why it got cracked on its first ring! hahaha

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't disagree, but what about all the swag in the British Museum (and others)?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Exactly, it's not right either! What would make you think that I wouldn't think that?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No offense was intended. I wanted to know if you felt the same way about your mother country (forgive me if I'm wrong) possessing another culture's artifacts. To answer your question, I just read too much between the lines... British artifacts in another country... Posted by a Brit... Addressed to 'British friends'.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Indeed you did. I am also a strong proponent of returning many artifacts to their rightful homes, especially Chinese ones.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Our next target is the Queen's corgis mwhahahahah

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ooo, if you get them, PLEAE ship one to China for me! I LOVE Welsh Corgis they're sooo cute!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

What about all that indian shit stolen from palaces that is now in British museums? Is it really any different?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Duh! read the comments above judgy!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Wow, you sound like a 5 year old.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's necessary when dealing with people with the patience of a 5-year-old. If that user had bothered to read the other comments then they wouldn't have sat quite so high on their horse :-P

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Right, which is totally the reason you sound like a 5 year old in the majority of your comments.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Now now...you just sound silly when you say that. And if I moderate my tone to sound like a five year old it's because I'm constantly dealing with them on here. :-P

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Not only do you act like a five year old, but apparently you are also condescending. Get over yourself, sir.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't believe I'm the one "bigging myself up" - i just say what i think. Nobody asked you to like it. And you wanna talk about childish? Your comments read like a first-year college student know-it-all. Puh-lease! At least I KNOW my limits. You clearly don't

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"Judgy?" "Now now...you just sound silly when you say that?" "Puh-lease?" Yeah, you sound so grown up right now sir. My comments have nothing to do with me being in college, they have to do with you being a jerk who sounds like a whiny little 5 year old when you don't get your way.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No one is forcing you to read them.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That is your great argument? Good job. I applaud you.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

What's there to argue about? You're calling me childish for whatever sad reason you have, and I'm not going to waste my time dealing with some impetuous naive youth. May as well just use a line like that. At least it's true, unlike most of things you've said so far.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

should i not have been offended that someone is judging me as a hypocrite when i clearly wrote the thing that contradicts their judgment? What would you say in response? Probably some angry teenage know-it-all tirade

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I said nothing about you being offended, I said you sounded like a 5 year old which you are continuing to prove. Stop acting like you are such a bad ass.
