You don't eat junk food or drink soda on a regular basis, Amirite?
by Anonymous11 years ago
Maybe one day I can come on here and have the satisfaction of clicking YYA
you know what? I'm starting right now

This is the first comment I ever loved, thank you for making my day. Someday I hope saying that will make yours too

you're welcome
and if I stick to the plan, this post does have the potential to make mines as well

ohhh.. like it
by Anonymous11 years ago
Well I don't drink soda.. But I eat a lot of junk food..
by Anonymous11 years ago
Junk food, no. Soda, yes.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I have some kind of junk food everyday but I drink soda about twice a year so that's okay.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I barley ever eat junk food, but I drink coke all the time.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I can't eat junk food, and soda just tastes disgusting to me.
by Anonymous10 years ago
why can't you eat junk food?
by Anonymous10 years ago
For the past, like, four years I've been pretty much anorexic. I've screwed up my stomach and now eating junk food leaves me needing to go to the hospital. Most food hurts me.

my mom tells me that
I used to think she was exaggerating and trying to fatten me up
but now I believe her
what foods can you eat?
by Anonymous10 years ago
I can eat things that aren't too acidic, that aren't sweet nor super sugary. Umm basically most meats so long as there's not too much grease and/or seasoning, grains, the occasional fruit. Even apples leave me in pain. The basic organic stuff works best. I can only drink water, tea, and fruit juice things.

that really sucks

I did it to myself so I deserve the consequences. But this just goes to show that fat-shaming people can lead to those like me who can't even enjoy simple things like chocolate and poptarts. I still eat them to taste them but I end up vomiting later, which sorta sucks. But yeah.

fat shaming and skinny shaming
I have faced both
shaming has powerful effects
and it still sucks
even if they were your choices
by Anonymous10 years ago
I still get physically and verbally assaulted because I don't eat at school. Even at home i get yelled at for eating only a little. People don't understand that I changed for them, for their standards, and now that those standards have changed, I went too far, and I can't change back. If I could stop all the shaming that goes on, I would do so, but I can't control peoples' desires to be rude to others.
And yeah, it does suck.

I faced something somewhat similar
I was a chubby kid for a looong time
and kids made fun of me
even one adult was in on it
I eventually went the other way and lost weight rapidly
felt cold all the time
dizzy
more frequent stomach problems
then, adults started to scold me about being too thin
the roles switched
and the way the adults scolded me felt the same way those kids made fun of me
both groups were criticizing my body, and it was definitely not in a constructive way
I now realize that I can't control the rudeness of others
but I can control the way I react to their rudeness

You have a good point. My downward spiral started four years ago when I was about 12, so my mind was already easily swayed. I was very emotional, so I complied to their desire of having me be skinny. The loss of weight became an obsession for me, and that's the reason even today I still have to make sure I keep my weight down. Even though people tell me how my body isn't attractive because my hip bones and ribs show, I crave it. I love feeling my bones and feeling skinny. To hell with what the others say. That's how I basically grew up, so any weight makes me get paranoid.
by Anonymous10 years ago
I know exactly what you mean
my spiral began around age 12 too (middle school)
it reached its peak during my sophomore year in college
currently
which is about a year later
I am on the downward slope

I hope that you don't ever have to deal with the stomach problems I have.
by Anonymous10 years ago
I hope so too
I have low pain tolerance
I hope things work out for you
