I probably should add that this is in response to a seemingly current trend on amirite. Lately I noticed that especially whenever a post is directed at a certain group, someone in the comments will post a similar statement, but word it in such a way it includes a minority as well. For example, a post that is directed towards guys about girls will be reworded to include lesbians as well, or be reworded in such a way it is directed to gay guys. On its own a post like that would be perfectly fine, but in the comments it just does not seem to be in the right place. I feel that it only helps to set a minority more apart and is possibly more hurtful.

That's why I put it between apostrophes. The over-exaggerating, as that doesn't feel like political correctness anymore to me Of course there are tons of grey areas and borders, but I think generally as long as someone is not deliberately excluding certain groups, just because, it should be fine
