This post confuses me. You're either saying that people I trust are trying to commit suicide, that they're trying to shoot me in the back, or that they're going to use the gun to defend me against my enemies.

Okay, it means the people you trust the most are usually the ones to betray you. It doesn't mean they are literally holding a gun.
