It //would// if I hadn't had several comments deleted in the past few days because of censorship. I'm bringing it on myself, but the censorship on the site has driven me to curse as much as possible. Frankly, it's ridiculous.

Its not censorship btw - thats where you can't express your opinion like in China or North Korea. Its a curse filter

Except that the curse filter censors expletives, so it is censorship. And if there is a filter for such words, what's the point in deleting comments that contain them?

I had a few comments deleted because they had curse words in them. I asked why they were deleted and it was because the comment didn't make sense which I agreed with - so I just re-posted the comment.

I still don't like having my ability to curse being restricted, and it's still censorship. It'd be only lame if the words were purely censored, but having comments being completely deleted because of curses is annoying.

Ye I know its annoying but life goes on lol - best thing I find to make sure none of my comments get deleted is to just no curse - although sometimes I do without even realising it. Ye your pic is like mine a bit - are you into the universe or astrology?

I'm rebellious. I much prefer the old owner's more anarchistic style of running this place. Not specifically, no. The Universe interests me, but that's not why I really like the picture. Of course it looks gorgeous, but it's also symbolic. As a man of science, I like to imagine myself as the astronaut standing on the beach looking out over the Universe and getting ready to explore it. I'm also something of a psychonaut and it also represents (to me) the use of drugs to surf the Universe of my mind. I feel more at home in that picture than anywhere else.

I thought I was going nuts and that people decided to be the least offensive and insert asterisks. I didn't realize a filter was put into place. If they want to go that route, they should let users turn off the filter.

One of my favorite bands posted the picture on Facebook. I have no idea where they got it. Anarchistic just means there was no real rule. Obviously he was in charge and there were mods to keep order, but nothing ever seemed to come of it. It seemed we were able to say literally anything and get away with it. I've never had any sort of disciplinary action taken against me on this site.

oh lol I thought it meant that the government is undesirable. I actually read the rules and there doesn't seem to be many constraints other than the cursing. I think to get banned you would have to do something really bad.
