Actually it takes several sperm to break through to the egg so all you really are is the one freeloading sperm who took advantage of everyone else's work.

A sperm only carries half of our DNA, so you can't say we were the sperm. Why count out the egg? We were not ourselves until fertilization occurred (and even then we weren't completely ourselves). This has no scientific basis to make anyone feel better.

I've seen variations of this statement many times before. The only way this could have been even worse is if it said "you were the sperm that won." How did this get homepaged?
