+83 It's nice to see so many people sticking up for the equality of various different groups who have been mistreated over the years, but it seems that nobody is standing up for the equal treatment of the only group that has been mistreated since the dawn of man; the ugly people. Amirite?

I think it's because groups of ugly people aren't black and white there's overlap subjectivity you can be a certain race or subscribe to a certain religion but with ugly it's not so straightforward your view of ugly could be my ideal view of beauty

There's so much bias towards them that we don't notice, it's awful.

Nobody wants to admit that they are the ugly people and stand up for it.

I'm fuckin' ugly, and I know it. Too bad not many people will admit it.

Anti-bullying groups do fall into this category.

I'm inclined to disagree. Anti-bullying groups are working towards kids not excluding other kids in school, and I I'm pretty sure they don't care once you're out of school. Nobody seems to care that in the adult world, unattractive people are automatically assumed to be mean, stupid, bad people. In the work place, they have a hard time being hired in the first place, and aren't treated as well if they get the job. In society, ugly people are villains and examples of incompetent people. Beautiful people are examples of success, intelligence, and kindness. That is not how life //actually// is, that's just how society portrays people.

"This is the home of your new ugly friend, Jamal. Because he's ugly, he gets nothing handed to him. He has to work at making something of himself. But that work will pay off when he's an adult. He will have character, something kids who are hot rarely develop." –Abraham Lincoln ...In the South Park episode "The List"
