Any sport is one of the hardest. Tennis is maybe top 30.

I suppose as long it is not the "easiest" //sport out there// it is technically one of the "hardest".

Yes, it is. You have to spend years at it before you can even suck at it. Most people give up because it looks a lot easier than it is. Props to the NTRP rating system to give people a chance to play with someone evenly matched -- there are many skill levels out there and mismatches are a waste of everyone's time.
