I don't really understand why judging others is considered wrong. We can form opinions on everything else, but not people? Wtf.

Because often times we misjudge people. It's easy to say someone is a good or bad person, but we aren't in their shoes so we don't know the full story. Then, we end up allowing our biased judgments define how we think about/treat that person which in turn affects how other people think about/treat them. Basically when you judge someone you are being unfair and ultimately acting as if you are somehow better than them when in reality you're simply being sanctimonious.
